There's not much to post about, but I'm tired of looking at a picture of Lane Kiffin on my blog. So, here's a few ramblings...
I've decided that the #1 disappointment in being a stay-at-home-mom is that Saturday is just another day of the week...not much to look forward to. Sooooo different than when I was a teacher and couldn't wait for the weekend to get here. The other day, Joel said to get ready because our next 3 weeks are going to be crazy...2 weekends of camp and other stuff. I said that I was excited about it because it's something different than our everyday routine. As challenging as it is to travel with two little ones, I really do like being on the go and it's usually worth the hassle. Thankfully, our kids travel pretty well and adjust quickly. (Note - To blog stalkers that look for opportunities for people to be out of town, we do have a house guest that may foil your plans :) )
Note to any kind of "techy" person that may have the latest iPhone or Macbook Pro, stay away from my husband! He just can't handle "the next best thing" coming out and he doesn't have it. He's always coming up with these plans to trade up, saying that it's not going to cost us any money...we'll see.
The other night, I was falling asleep on the couch. I told Joel that I wanted to go to sleep so bad, but I didn't want to do what it takes to get there. That kind of parallels my relationship with the Lord right now. My selfishness just keeps getting in the way. I'm so thankful that Jesus came to save me from ME.
Tonight, we had Young Life Leadership. It was so awesome to see a whole room filled with a bunch of guys and girls who desire to go where kids are, get to know them, and show them Jesus.

I like the ordinariness of this. And I'm glad to see Lane gone!
We'll be with you 'in spirit' this weekend!
