No, I'm not saying that my husband is better than your husband. But, I am saying that Joel is the best for me, and I thank God that He made Joel for me and me for Joel. I left town a couple of days ago to go with my mom to visit my grandparents in Mississippi. I left Joel with dirty clothes, a dirty house, and no food. I felt like a horrible wife. I came home late last night to a sparkling clean house--I mean, he cleaned everything. He washed all of the clothes, towels, and even the sheets. He dusted, swept, mopped, vacuumed, scrubbed the shower, did yard work, and even cleaned out the fireplace. It was the best feeling to come home to a clean house. He knows the way to my heart. It was hilarious today when we came home from church only to find a big pile of poop in the middle of the floor from Bo. Joel said, "This makes me so mad after I just spent all day cleaning the house." I can't even count the number of times I've said that. Now, he knows how it feels.
I'm so thankful for the way that he loves me, and even more thankful for the way that he loves Jesus. I never would have thought that when I met Joel 14 years ago at Cross Country practice at Shaw High School that he would be my best friend and my husband. I love you, Joel.

Isn't it funny how romantic cleaning the house and playing with the kids becomes after a few years? When your husband does it, that is.
Oh, wow. What a great "present" to come home to! Help with the household day-to-day really, really makes a difference, doesn't it?!
