Windy Gap!

At only 5 weeks old, Mary Kate got to visit her first Young Life camp - and she chose one filled with history! Last week, Mary Kate, Katherine and myself rode up to Windy Gap outside of Asheville, NC, for a three day spring staff conference for our Young Life region. We had a blast, and Mary Kate loved all the attention she got. I have to say that she was a complete angel, and we are so blessed to have such a well behaved five week old. We keep bracing ourselves for when the behavior gets sour, but she has continued to surprise us with how much she loves to be around folks and travel. Mary Kate seems to be at her best when we travel, and that is a good thing as much as we go from camp to camp and grandparent to grandparent! :) Katherine has been an incredible mommy, and I know she'll just continue to amaze me as the days and years go by. She has an incredible amount of patience, love and nurture that has been welling up since Mary Kate arrived. Not that I doubted she would have all these incredible qualities. Katherine has always been the most incredible woman I know! I'm so blessed to have her by my side. All in all, our trip to Windy Gap was a real treat, and we're glad Mary Kate graced the beautiful camp with her presence. It wouldn't have been the same without her!
