March Madness and Mary Kate

March is nearly over, and March Madness is in full swing. For the first time in NCAA history, all the #1 seeds have advanced to the Final Four in San Antonio. That fact is something that didn't help my ludicrous bracket out. Taking history into account, I tried hard to avoid picking 1 seeds. Aside from picking Memphis (my parents' school and my birthplace), I picked all 2 seeds. All three of those 2 seeds were out by the Sweet Sixteen this past Thursday night!

The other day I happened to catch my sweet baby girl trying to pick her brackets. As you can see, she is studying SI's analysis very hard. After reading about Tennessee's stellar basketball season, she promptly began to chew up the magazine (as a normal baby would do), but that wasn't until she had read all about the teams. Maybe I should've asked her to fill out my bracket! At least I know she's a fan of Sports Illustrated, and Mommy was glad to see her interested in something about Tennessee. I hope y'all enjoy the last weekend of college basketball - it's the only real way to crown a national champion. As Mary Kate's Granddaddy's saying all the way from Colorado Springs - Go Tigers!

Hey, guys, it's Bethanne Lenhard (Kanzler)...I found you through Nick and Jessie's Bettes blog and I was so excited! I just think your family is beautiful! And Mary Kay is a doll!

And by the way, for braggin rights, I have been killing my husband with my bracket this year (so much so that he hasn't really wanted to discuss it with me). Wahoo!

Get them started early!! I commend you for getting her to study up on the sports rather than just throw them into it. All I do is give a ball to our kid and tell him to throw it or kick it. Haven't really thought about giving him reading material.

Also, I sent an email but no response. Did yall give me some old email account that you never cheeck?
