To benefit frog conservation and promote The Princess and the Frog, the Georgia Aquarium joined with Walt Disney to host a princess day. Of course, Granna wasn't going to miss an opportunity to dress Mary Kate up as a princess. I had never seen so many princesses running around. Ford's frog "outfit" (really, just a frog towel) didn't last too long. He wasn't crazy about having that thing on his head. I think Mary Kate was a bit in shock at all the princesses in one place. They had the whole line up...Snow White, Jasmine, Ariel, Pocahontas, Cinderella (and Prince Charming), and Sleeping Beauty. She got to be in the princess parade and walk right behind all the Disney princesses. But, I think she was more interested in getting back to the table to eat her gingerbread man cookie.
Mary Kate had a scare coming down the slide in the play area. Granna took her up to the top and I waited at the bottom to get a picture of her coming out. All of a sudden, I saw this yellow blur coming out. She came so fast that I couldn't even get a picture. She was airborne coming out of the tunnel, landed, and rolled a couple of times before coming to a stop. Everyone around gasped, wondering if she was okay. She was a little shaken up, but she wasn't hurt. We figured that the material of her dress made her extra slick coming down. Man, if I'd only gotten that on video!
