Lately

I blame my lack of blogging lately on Joel's Mac. I tried 3 times to upload pictures to my blog from his computer, but it never worked. Now, I'm using my mom's possessed computer, so we'll see if I can actually finish a post. There are a couple of things to highlight from the past couple of weeks.

First of all, we made a trip to Callaway Gardens with my mom. She'd been wanting to get up there to see the azaleas, but I'm not sure how much she got to enjoy them with a 3 and 1 year old in tow. We started the day off with breakfast at the Country Store. I have fond memories as a child eating pancakes on the porch of the Country Store. Then, we took the obligatory picture in front of the scenic view across the street. We headed to the Log Cabin, another one of my favorite spots as a child. It reminds me of how simple life can be if we let it. Then, we explored the Butterfly Center. Mary Kate was so excited about seeing them, but ended up being mostly scared of the butterflies. MK and Granna visited the chapel, where she said that she wanted to marry Evan (her latest obsession). We had fun in the gardens at the Sibley Center with Ford and Mary Kate playing in the fountain and going through the mazes. Lastly, we had a picnic. Fun times. Check out the pictures below.

Since my Dad wasn't able to come to MK's princess party, he decided to throw her a little party of his own. Mary Kate had fun feeling like a princess. Morgan, notice her cute outfit that she's wearing! Here's some pics.

Last week, Joel and I headed to Staff Conference at Sharp Top Cove. It was a great time of fellowship, worship, and being refreshed. I'm so thankful that I get to be a part of such an awesome ministry. It is always so encouraging to hear stories from other staff about how God has worked in their lives and in their areas. I'm so looking forward to our assignment at Crooked Creek in a couple of weeks, but we've got a lot going on between now and then.

We've missed Joel this week since he's been at Trail West for a class, but we've had fun hanging out with Granna while he's gone. We can't wait to see him tomorrow. My lesson for the day...never take Ford to Ruby Tuesday again. Every time he goes there, he falls apart...never again!
