Outdoor Fun

On Wednesday, we went to the park with Sarah and the kids. We had a picnic, played on the playground, and played in the river. Mary Kate has been all tomboy this week. It's been fun to watch her be adventurous and get really dirty. Eli and Able play rough and she loves it.

That afternoon, Joel had some time off from class, so we headed to town and all got milkshakes from K's. Then, we went over to Frontier to check out the new hot tub (just looked at it). I also got to see the new swing...that I will never ever do. I also got to see the gym finished, which is amazing. Mary Kate wanted to know why Gus Chiggins wasn't there (the old prospector from program last time we were on assignment there). It was fun for the kids to get some time with Joel. We're both having an amazing time, even though our week looks very different than the others with Joel in class and me getting time with the kids.

Thursday, we went down to Sarah's and the kids played outside for hours. We ate lunch there and then went down to the barn to check out their new pot belly pig. That night, we got a sitter for the kids and went to a new brick over pizza place in BV. A lot of the Georgia crowd came along. It was sooooo good. Sarah and I had a blast singing Chicago on the way there and back...a favorite pastime.
