Four Christmases

No, this is not the movie, it's my life. It's always interesting to try to coordinate all the Christmases that we celebrate, which includes pet Christmas. So, here are our Christmases in review...

PET CHRISTMAS
My mom has always had a stocking for her cats and dog, so the tradition has continued. Now, with granddogs, grandcats, grandhorses, and grandrabbits it has gotten a bit out of hand. Between all of us, there are 10 animals. Here's a pic of the dogs below (except for Rocky, Stephanie and Joe's dog).

THURMAN CHRISTMAS
We had Christmas with my Dad the Sunday before Christmas. Mary Kate has been terrified of my Dad. The only other person that she's ever been afraid of is Santa Claus, so we've concluded that she must think my Dad looks like Santa. The fact that he wore a Santa hat last Christmas didn't help. Fortunately, she warmed up to him during our time with him and she actually sat on his lap and played for a while.

LANCASTER CHRISTMAS
We headed to Bolton, MS the day before Christmas Eve to celebrate with my Mom's family. It's always a bit chaotic with so many people, especially now that we have little ones running around, but we have a blast together. Some of my favorite memories growing up are Christmases at Nana and Grandaddy's, especially the time we found the mouse under the tree. Ford got knighted with his nickname by my Grandaddy as F L, which is my Grandaddy being witty as usual. We always make fun of my Grandaddy for only having letters as his name, and since Ford is named after him, he decided to give him letters as his nickname. It was sad not to have my cousin Chad and his family with us, but they were having fun at Disneyland. Hopefully, we can all be together one Christmas. Joel and Joe had a fun time making my grandmother's eggnog, especially having to use a 50 year old hand mixer.

KENNEDY CHRISTMAS
On the Saturday after Christmas, we celebrated with Joel's family in Columbus. We were glad that Rachel, his sister, was able to stick around to celebrate with us and that his Grandparents were able to be there as well. Robin cooked an amazing meal for us to enjoy and we had a fun time opening up gifts. Anna gave everyone a fun Christmas present with the pictures and video from the ultrasound of her precious baby. This is one of those times that I'm so thankful for modern technology. It's so cool that I get to see an ultrasound picture all the way from New Zealand. We can't wait to welcome the newest Kennedy into the family. Click on the picture below to see more Kennedy family pictures.
