Bravo for Young Life Leaders

Last night, we headed to the Braves games with a bunch of Macon Young Life leaders. These volunteer leaders are awesome. They sacrifice countless hours of their own time to love on high school kids and bring them to the feet of Jesus. They walk into high school cafeterias where you never know if the response from kids is going to be "Hey, "leader" come sit over here and talk to us!" (rarely happens), or "What's that "leader" doing back here, they're getting on my nerves?", or "Why is that "leader" standing over there all by himself looking like a weirdo?" Which is why, many times, as a leader when I was on my way to the school, I would drive right past it knowing that I just wasn't up for it--only to get a couple miles down the road to hear the Lord whisper, "I'll be with you, we'll do it together." These volunteer leaders are my heroes. They remember a kids name when others look right past them. They will be there for the kid that everyone else has given up on. They can show Jesus to a kid who refuses to step foot in a church. I am so thankful for these leaders who are willing to let God work through them.It was also Ford's first Braves game, which was not a great one. It was super cold and the Braves lost. He also made his first trip to the Varsity.

What'll Ya Have! What'll Ya Have!

Sad I couldn't make it to the game with y'all, although I'm not sad I missed that loss in person. As usual, Ford's amazingly cute in that varsity hat!

He's sort of facing the camera.. as opposed to the other eleven shots we took where he was completely turned around! Haha what good times!

What a great time to laugh and hang out with great friends! Even if it was cold and they lost putting my braves win average to .500 I'm 1 for 2.

Ya'll Kennedy's are pretty great and us leaders love ya.

Your description of what it's like to be a leader made my eyes leak!
