Okay, I know I said that I probably wouldn't be doing many posts on Joel's Mac, but I finally figured out how to do what I wanted to do. I think that I go about it the longest way possible, but that's how I do most things anyway. I know most of you that look at this blog (which I don't really even know who all looks at it) could care less about seeing a photo journal of our day to day life, but I'm sure that Granna and Grandmama and Uncle Joe appreciate it.
I finally got together with Sarah and her boys, Eli and Abel, today. Sarah is my best friend from college, who happens to live in Buena Vista. When I found out that we were going to be in the same town for a whole month, I started crying I was so excited. Sarah and I have had some fun times together, and she has taught me so many things. You really couldn't have put 2 more opposite people together as roommates (3 including Julie). Sarah was one of the messiest people that I've ever met and I was a super neat freak...for real, Joel used to tease me in high school by moving something in my room ever so slightly while I wasn't looking and wait for me to freak out when I noticed it...I don't freak out anymore, but I can still usually notice if something's been moved. Sarah is super touchy feely and I am most certainly not. Although, she did rub off on me a lot. She is so good at loving people well. My most fun memories of Sarah are going to spontaneous late night movies together and belting out Chicago's, You're the Inspiration, at the top of our lungs. I still remember sitting in the car with her late one night listening to her bawl her eyes out about how she was never going to get married...and look at her now, happily married to an amazing guy with 2 adorable boys.
Mary Kate had so much fun playing with Eli and Abel today. They were so cute together. We met at St. Elmo to play with the chipmunks again. MK did much better this time. I think it helped watching the boys play with them first. After awhile at St. Elmo, we headed to a nearby lake to have a picnic. It ended with all kids (minus Ford) IN the lake. It was a fun morning with one of my favorite people. Hopefully, we'll get some "just us girls" time before we leave.

I thought that these next pictures were adorable, but they tug at my heart just a little...
...okay, A LOT!

So cute ! MK is so grown up.
Just so you know I love reading about your kids! I am glad that you got to have some time with a friend while you were out there.
