Happy Birthday, America!

We got to celebrate the 4th of July in smalltown america in Buena Vista, Colorado.  My mom and I took Ford and Mary Kate down to the local parade, which was a lot of fun for MK.  She waved her flag at all of the passing floats, but didn't quite know what to do when they threw candy at her.  Her favorite part was seeing all of the horses.  After the parade, we walked down to a cafe where my best friend from college works.  I was hoping to have seen Sarah more than I have so far, but with everything crazy at camp, it's been hard to get together.  Hopefully, we'll get some good time together in the next 2 weeks.

MK talking to the random girl next to us.  I wasn't a big fan of this girl.  They brought a dog to the parade, but kept telling Mary Kate to stay away from him because he's not good with children.  What idiot brings a "not good with children" dog to a parade and then sits next to a 2 year old?

Mary Kate had a fun treat yesterday when she got to ride a big horse named Andy.  She was a champ.  The last time we put her on a horse, she had a conniption fit, but she did awesome this time.  Aunt Rebecca would be so proud.  She circled the ring 3 times.
