We just finished Day 2 of Week 2. I don't think I've ever seen a week of camp that is so diverse...there are white kids, black kids, Hispanic kids, capernaum kids (special needs), and mostly rowdy kids. It always tugs at my heart to see how the "regular" kids love on the capernaum kids...cheering extra loud when they get put in a game or show up in the camp video, helping them out when they need it, and going out of their way to talk to them. We even had one of the bus drivers comment on the fact that he's never seen kids loved on like that before. I'm excited to see what God does in this week of camp.
Some recent highlights for family since the phone isn't very accessible...
- Joel's crown chipped off of his tooth. It doesn't look too bad, but it's really sensitive to anything cold.
- Mary Kate's had a fever off and on for the past couple of days.
- For the first time since February, Ford is medicine-free and does NOT have a runny nose!
- Mary Kate randomly picks up gum off the ground around camp and chews it...might explain why she's now sick. I guess she's taking the "make camp beautiful" talk to heart.
