Wendy (a family therapist) just coined a new clinical disorder...Post Assignment Depression. We are all moping around today, dreading having to leave camp. Here's the Top Symptoms of PAD...
- You are dreading having to clean and cook meals again.
- Leaving 70 degree weather for 100 degree humidity.
- Wondering who's going to entertain your kids all hours of the day.
- Sad to be leaving such amazing fellowship.
- Going back to reality where you have to spend money.
- No more desserts.
- No more witnessing hundreds of kids standing up to say that they decided to follow Jesus.
- No more care-free parenting.
Oh, it is a sad day when you have to leave assignment, but there's plenty to look forward to at home. Joel and I are actually heading back for one more week of camp at Windy Gap. Joel's parents are meeting us at the airport to pick up the kids and then we'll drive to North Carolina. So, we do get one more week of desserts! Please, pray for us as we take Macon kids to camp. Pray that they would have the best week of their life...not just because of the amazing fun that they will have, but because that's where they will meet Jesus and decide to follow Him. Pray for Joel and I as we'll have to be away from our kids for a whole week and for Nonna and Grandaddy and Granna that will have to be in charge of camp detox.
