Baby #2 is here and he has a name! Ford Lancaster is named after our Grandaddy's. Ford comes from Joel's Grandaddy on his dad's side and Lancaster is my Grandaddy's last name on my mom's side. I might have used his first name if he had one, but his name is CD (nope, it doesn't stand for anything, just CD). Ford was born on November 20th (his due date) at 1:41 pm. He is 7 pounds 14 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. As of Wednesday, I was only dilated 1 cm, so not much was happening. I have never considered being induced, but I was really wanting to have the baby and be home next week while Joel would be home without clubs, campaigners, bible studies, etc. So, at my appointment on Wednesday, I discussed it with my doctor and he said that the hospital would call me if a room opened up so that I could be induced. We weren't expecting a room to open up until Monday, but low and behold we got the call Wednesday night. It was kind of strange getting a phone call telling us to come have our baby. Thankfully, Joel and I were able to go on a dinner date to enjoy some time with just the two of us before the baby came. We headed to the hospital at 11:00 to get things started. The whole labor and delivery process was much more enjoyable and shorter than with Mary Kate. We are so excited about Ford being here. Mary Kate is so proud of her baby brother. When she met him for the first time, she ran right up to him and started giving him hugs and kisses and wanting to hold him. I'm a little concerned about how to keep her off of him when we get him home. Any advice? I've been feeling pretty good, just a bit sore today. Here's a few pics below. Katherine, Joel, and Mary Kate...my joy for you is just so great! Looking at those pictures, I just can't help but tear up a little....hard to believe that that was us just 6 months ago. Enjoy this precious time with your family and it's newest little addition. God is so good!

I wish i was there with you guys...you have no idea how badly!!!! He's wonderful, I can't wait to meet him...precious, precious boy with a precious, precious family. Job well done...AGAIN! :)
