My Favorite Ford Parts

It's amazing how much time a mom can spend just staring at her little baby. My mom took Mary Kate home with her for the night, so I've had lots of time to just stare at Ford. My first thought when I look at him is "I can't believe that that body just came out of my belly!" After that thought passes, I just enjoy looking at all his little body parts.

He has really big feet and long, skinny toes. When they took his footprint at the hospital, the nurse laughed because it took up the whole box.

He has long, skinny legs. Why do the boys always get the skinny legs?

My favorite Ford part is his nose. It's definitely Joel's nose, which is also Mary Kate's nose. I think it's so cute. This is also a rare pic of his eyes open.

He also has long, skinny fingers. Joel's predicting an awesome slide guitartist, especially since he was born on Duane Allman's birthday (who was also a Maconite).

This picture is for Grandmama and Granddaddy. He looks so cute in the little outfit that you gave him. This is just after his first bath at home. He soon peed all over it, so it didn't last long. Then, he peed all over the next outfit too.

We've had lots of fun comments about Ford's name. The first one was from Michael Edwards, who asked Joel if "Ford" was short for Stafford (as in the QB for UGA). Of course, he would think that! Some of my other favorite's have been that "he's going to be best friends with Chevy", "it's a very Presidential name", " a strong name", and "it sure beats Daihatsu or Suburu."
